Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies (Good to Great)

$15.99

James C. Collins and Jerry I. Porras took eighteen truly exceptional and long-lasting companies and studied each in direct comparison to one of its top competitors. Their research was based upon a six-year research study at the Stanford University of Graduate School of Business. They looked at these companies from their very beginnings as a start up through to the present day as large corporations. Throughout the study, the authors asked this main question: “What makes the truly exceptional companies different from the comparison companies and what were the common practices these enduringly great companies followed throughout their history?” Built to Last is filled with hundreds of examples and organized into a understandable framework of concepts that can be applied by managers and entrepreneurs at all levels. It provides a blueprint for building organizations that will prosper long term.
