The Christian Equipped in a World of Confusion
Text: Ephesians 6:13-18.
In the days through which we are passing, much is being said about defense. By radio, newspaper and from the public platform, all are urged to sacrifice and join hands in an effort to increase the production of the instruments of warfare.
I do not care to speak of that, however, for I am interested in another warfare- the Christian warfare. We as Christians are on the battlefield for our Lord. The battle is intense.
Unlike the wars of the carnal, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, the powers, the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. We must be armed for such a conflict.
The equipment has been provided. It is the armour of God. The call of Jehovah is that we shall put on His armour and join His ranks in the crusade in the fight against evil. In Ephesians 6:13-18, Paul clearly sets forth the weapons of our warfare which I wish we might consider together.
